HOUSE AND GARDEN x SAVILLS PROJECT OF THE YEAR (the “Competition”) CONSUMER DISCLOSURE – YOU HAVE NOT YET WON

By entering the Competition, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Any violation of the Official Rules may, at Sponsor’s discretion, result in disqualification. All decisions of the judges regarding the Competition are final and binding in all respects. 

1. GENERAL 

1.1. These terms and conditions (which we will refer to as the “Terms”) will govern your participation in the “House and Garden x Savills Project of the Year” (the “Competition”). By entering in the Competition you agree that you will be legally bound by these Terms. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry which does not comply with these Terms. 

2. SPONSORS 

2.1. The Competition is organized, managed and controlled by: 

The Condé Nast Publications Limited (“Condé Nast”), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 00226900 and registered office at 1-11 John Adam Street, London WC2N 6HT; and 

Savills UK Limited (“Savills”), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 02605138 and registered office at 33 Margaret Street, London, W1G 0JD. 

(together, the “Sponsors”, also referred to herein as “we” and “us”.) 

3. PARTICIPATION PERIOD 

3.1. The period to participate in the Competition begins on 3 April 2025 and closes on 21 May 2025, by which date all entries must be received (“Participation Period”). 

4. ELIGIBILITY 

4.1. The Competition is only open to legal residents of the United Kingdom who are at least 18 years old. Employees (and their immediate family and household members) of Sponsors, and those of any such company's subsidiary or associated companies, or agents may not enter the Competition. In entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Sponsors may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition. 

5. HOW TO ENTER. 

5.1. During the Participation Period, visit https://www.houseandgarden.co.uk/article/savills-project-of-the-year-2026 and follow the instructions to complete and submit the entry form. By entering the Competition, entrants warrant and undertake that the information submitted is true, accurate and complete.

5.2. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or for a chance to win this Competition. A purchase will not improve chances of winning. Internet access is required. Limit: no more than one entry per person and one entry per e-mail address during the Promotion Period.

5.3. We reserve the right to reject any entries that are inaudible, incomplete, incomprehensible, damaged or otherwise deficient. We also reserve the right to reject entries that are unlawful, indecent, racist, inflammatory, defamatory or which we consider to be otherwise harmful to the goodwill and reputation of any of our publications, websites or brands. We accept no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries, including but not limited to texts, calls or emails not received due to technical disruptions, network congestion or any other reason. Proof of posting of any postal entry will not be proof of our receipt of that entry. Submitted entries cannot be returned. 

6. FINALISTS AND WINNER SELECTION 

6.1. From all the qualifying entries, twelve finalist(s) (“Finalists”) and one (1) winner (“Winner”) from the Finalists will be selected after the Participation Period ends. Finalists and Winner selection will be conducted by a jury composed of: 2 judges from Condé Nast; and 2 judges from Savills; and 1 external, independent Judge (the “Jury”). Finalists will be announced in the February 2026 print issue of House and Garden. The criteria used by the Jury for the selection of the Finalists and Winner will be as follows:

CRITERIA

6.2. The property must be located in the UK, not have been previously published (whether in a physical or digital format) in any national or international newspaper or magazine, or any national or international garden, design, property or architecture publication, and the project must have been completed in the past 5 years. Your entry must specify the start and finish date of the project. Entries will be judged in June and July 2025.

6.3. The decision of the Jury will be final. Finalists and Winner will be notified by email and/or telephone using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. If any of them cannot be contacted within twenty-four (24) hours from the date the Sponsor first tries to notify him/her, an alternate finalist/winner may be selected.

7. ANNOUNCEMENT AND RECOGNITION OF FINALISTS AND WINNER

7.1. Finalists will have the opportunity of being featured in the House and Garden print issue of February 2026.

7.2. The Winner will be announced at the “House and Garden Design Awards” event that will take place in London on April or May 2026 (Specific date to be confirmed) at (the “Design Awards), and they will receive: 

A trophy with the recognition of being the Winner of the “House and Garden Design Awards” 

The opportunity to be featured in the House and Garden print issue of July 2026. 

Transport costs to and from the Design Awards and accommodation costs are not included. We are not liable or responsible if the Design Awards are cancelled in whole or in part, varied or rescheduled for any reason. If this means that the Winner (and/or any accompanying guests) cannot attend the Design Awards, we shall be under no obligation to provide any alternative. 

8. PERSONAL INFORMATION

8.1. The personal information supplied by entrants when entering the Competition or otherwise requested by us, will be used by: 

- Condé Nast in accordance with its privacy policy which can be found at condenast.co.uk/privacy; and 

- Savills in accordance with its privacy policy which can be found at

8.2. Should an entrant be required to submit a third party's personal information as a part of entry into or participation in the Competition, each entrant must ensure that any other person whose details have been provided by the entrant to us has given or will give their consent for their details to be provided to us and to be contacted by us in relation to the Competition.

8.3. It is a condition of your participation in the Competition that we have the right to publicise your name and other details of your entries to the public and otherwise to process your personal information for the running of the Competition and matters incidental to it.

8.4. All entrants may be required by us to participate in photo, recording, video and/or film session(s). In this regard you agree that Sponsors shall have the right to use all the resulting publicity materials in any medium (including, without limitation, the internet) and in any manner we see fit, unless you advise us at the time of entering the Competition that you wish to retain your anonymity. If you elect for anonymity, we may not be able to allow your participation in the Competition. This includes using your image and materials provided to participate in the Competition for the purposes of promoting the Competition.

8.5. No fees shall be payable to any entrant in relation to their entry or any publicity relating to the Competition.

9. PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS

9.1. Should we require entrants to submit any photographs or video clips, as a part of their entry into the Competition ("Photograph"): 

(a) entrants warrant that they are the person in the Photograph or have prior approval from the person in the Photograph that it may be submitted as part of their entry;

(b) entrants agree that Sponsors have the right to publish and communicate to the public the Photograph in any media including, but not limited to, online, at all times without restriction or limitation throughout the world and not only for the purposes of the Competition;

(c) entrants acknowledge that we may edit the Photograph in our sole discretion;

(d) entrants agree that Sponsors have the right to use entrants' names, likenesses and other personal information in conjunction with the Photograph;

(e) entrants agree not to bring against us any actions, suits, claims and demands in respect of defamation or any infringement or violation of any personal and/or property rights of any sort from our use of their Photograph; and

(f) entrants unconditionally waive their right to seek or obtain an injunction to prevent or restrict our use of the Photograph.

10. COPYRIGHT

10.1. By entering our Competitions all entrants: 

(a) assign to us all rights (including present and future copyright) in their entry and their publicity materials in all media (including, without limitation, the internet) and whether in existence now or created in the future;

(b) agree not to assert any moral rights in respect of their entry and the publicity materials (wherever and whenever such rights are recognised) against the Sponsors, its assigns, licensees and successors in title;

(c) undertake to us that their entry is not in breach of any third party intellectual property rights and will not contain anything, which is defamatory, indecent, harassing or threatening and that they will indemnify us for any loss, damage or liability arising should this turn out not to be true. If relevant, we reserve the right, but not the obligation (and without limiting entrants' warranty and indemnity as set out above), to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by the entrant and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove the same;

(d) confirm that they have the right, power and authority to grant the rights set out above and that they have obtained all consents and permissions necessary to grant us the same. 

10.2. For the avoidance of doubt, as between you and the Sponsors, all rights in the name and title of the Competition and the format rights for the Competition are the sole property of the relevant Sponsor and we may exploit the same at our absolute discretion.

11. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

11.1. Except as specifically set out herein and to the maximum extent permitted by law, all conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law are hereby excluded.

11.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we hereby exclude and shall not have any liability to any entrant in connection with or arising out of the Competition howsoever caused, including for any costs, expenses, forfeited awards, damages and other liabilities, provided that nothing in these Terms shall operate so as to limit or exclude our liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.

11.3. By entering the Competition, the entrant indemnifies us against any and all actions, claims, damages, expenses or liabilities suffered or incurred directly or indirectly by us in consequence of any breach or alleged breach, non-performance or non-observation by the entrant of any agreement, conditions, obligation or warranty on the part of the entrant herein.

12. GENERAL

12.1. We may vary the terms of, or terminate, the Competition at any time at our absolute discretion without any liability.

12.2. In the event that any provision of these Terms is held to be illegal, invalid, void or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be severed from the remaining provisions which shall continue in full force and effect.

12.3. A failure by us to enforce the Terms in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any entrant, nor shall it be deemed to be a waiver of any of our rights in relation to the same.

12.4. These Terms shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of England and Wales.
